You think you’re God’s gift to the world?
--
You’re damn right you are.
In a universe as diverse as as ours, there are so many different personalities. As for myself, I am quite social and am often perceived as overconfident and arrogant.
“You think you’re God’s gift to this world, don’t you?”
But wait.. Isn’t that God’s whole thing? Creating beloved creatures to tend to this Divine universe?
For far too long, we (humans) have been trained to hold at least a tiny bit of self-hatred in our bodies — especially when folks around us loves themselves “too much.”
I can’t say I haven’t had that thought before — but self-hatred and jealousy isn’t healthy, nor is it God’s purpose for humanity.
Perhaps there are folks out there that you think are a little too hubris — or maybe you’re the one getting accused of thinking your sh*t doesn’t stink.
Regardless —know that you ought to be celebrated. The Divine created the universe and called us all good. If the Creator of the dirt under your feet and the stars above your head believes you’re a gift, then we ought to recognize all humans as such.
Remember that. You think you’re God’s gift to this world? You’re damn right you are. Now go tell your neighbors the Gospel — they are God’s gift to this world.
