For those who celebrate the twelve days of Christmas, today is the TENTH day of Christmas. The number 10 is considered by some to resemble human divinity. This number represents the completion of a cycle which encompasses all potential, all possibility. That pretty much explains Christmas in a nutshell — a baby being born to a poor family, resembling divinity and the endless and seemingly unusual possibilities of where God can be found. The most neglected, in my opinion, is one’s inner divine.

For each one of us, the “Inner Divine” might vary in definition. For some, it may feel uncomfortable to think that somehow God is within us. For me, it is a reminder that there is no me — my body, mind, and soul are one with God and the universe. The very heartbeat in my chest is connected with rays of sunshine, stardust, and the ever-expanding universe.

To see God in others, you must see God in yourself

As a follower of the Christ child that we continue celebrating throughout these twelve days, I strive to see God in others. I also strive to radiate God’s love through myself. I can’t do that, though, unless I understand the most immediate source of the spirit of God comes from within. If I can’t accept the Divinity within myself, I can’t see it in others.

How do I see God in myself?

Well, two other words to describe God would be “good” or “love.” Can you love yourself or see the goodness within? The inner goodness within you is the Inner Divinity. You are Divine. You are God created, God breathed, and God sustained.

On this tenth day of Christmas, find and celebrate your inner divinity.
