God’s Abundance Never Ends.

If you, like me, grew up in a home that wasn’t bringing in a huge weekly paycheck, it was often stressful around to handle the everyday wants and needs of life — especially during the Holidays. For me, it was stressful even as a kid, because I sometimes told myself that, despite my parents love for me, I felt like any of my wants and needs were burdensome. For adults living in poverty and even many who aren’t but grew up poor, the scarcity (or poverty) mindset is most likely familiar.

Scarcity (or Poverty) Mindset is an obsession with a lack of something — usually time or money — when you can’t seem to focus on anything else, no matter how hard you try.

It is important to recognize that a scarcity mindset isn’t necessarily a conscience choice one makes. It is the product of life experiences in either childhood or adulthood — especially with regard to more traumatic situations or experiences. Don’t allow anyone (including yourself) to blame you if you’re living in a scarcity mindset. It isn’t your fault. It is painful. It is hard. It is dangerous.

You don’t have to live in scarcity, though.

No, I’m not trying to say that you can turn instantly rich. I’m saying that half the battle is living with a mindset that revolves around either scarcity or abundance. You can, indeed, live a life of…
